We had a very wet week here in northern California and that always puts me in the mood for watercolor work. These little paintings are from my sketchbook and were done this weekend. Enjoy!

Denny- The new work is fantastic! Great to see you and APril the other night...It's been far too long. I started in on the book...Thanks again! David @ Ashfield Hansen Design
there's two kinds of persimmons, one has the more heart-like shape which can only be eaten when its very ripe and soft- like jelly; the other, like your charming watercolor, is eaten when its crisp.
We had persimmons in Australia. beautiful and tasty. Thanks for the reminder..
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
April
We can't get enough of them this time of year, especially Emily. Thanks, April!

David~ It was great to see you and everyone at dinner this week. I hope you enjoy the T.C.Boyle book as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteTop of the Trees is my favorite, the "watery light" is perfect for this last weekend! Bravo Denny, you are so talented!
ReplyDeleteSooo...how do you eat the persimmons? raw, in recipes? We have people give them to us all the time and I'm a bit unsure...?
Kit
Thanks, Kit...we eat persimmons like apples, raw and usually sliced. Haven't tried them cooked yet.
