Montana Sky
oil on panel
6" x 8"
2011

Sometimes a break is needed.  I felt I had to put the brushes down for a stretch (almost two months) to figure some things out, work on the house, and focus on my classes.  Now that June is here and the semester's over, I'm looking forward to getting back into the saddle and hitting the oils pretty hard.  I've signed up for a summer plein air class (it's good, I think, to see how other instructors approach familiar territory), a trip to NYC is in store as well as Lake Tahoe, and my inclusion in this year's 50-50 show will all keep me very busy.

50-50 starts in 11 days and of course, I will post paintings here as they come off the conveyor belt in my little studio.  This year I'm exploring the caloric, teeth-rotting world of sugary treats.  Should be fun, indulgent, and  probably fattening.  Stay tuned!

  3. Hi Denny...glad you'll be painting again. Sometimes it just helps to take a big step back and a breath of creative air in...

Speaking of calorific teeth rotting treats have you checked out my work? Hehe....I am working on a series of 12 paintings...9 down so far.
